Five-layer delivery check

Missing a verification email? Find the blockage first

Repeatedly clicking Send can trigger a cooldown or invalidate an older code. Check each layer—address, request, sending, delivery, and display—to find the issue faster.

01
Address layer

Check the full address and its remaining validity

Check that the local part, @ symbol, and domain are complete, with no spaces copied along. Make sure the countdown is still running and the address has not expired after switching inboxes.

  • Copy it again from OnceFwd instead of typing it manually.
  • Return to the target site, delete the old value, and paste the full address.
  • If you just switched addresses, submit the latest one again.

02
Request layer

Confirm that the site actually accepted the request

Check whether the page confirms that sending succeeded, asks you to complete a CAPTCHA, or says the address is unsupported. A button finishing its loading animation does not mean the email was queued.

  • Complete the CAPTCHA or consent box on the page.
  • Look for an error hidden below the fields.
  • Do not click resend repeatedly during the cooldown.

03
Sending layer

Give the sender's system time to process the request

Verification emails may take several minutes during busy periods. Wait and refresh manually instead of deleting the current inbox after only one minute.

  • Wait 2–5 minutes, then refresh the inbox.
  • Resend only once the site allows it.
  • Use only the newest code after it arrives.

04
Policy layer

Check whether the site blocks disposable domains

Some platforms reject temporary email addresses because of their own fraud controls. They may say so during submission or simply never send the email. OnceFwd cannot force a third party to accept an address.

  • Check the site's help center for email restrictions.
  • Use a stable email address for important or long-term accounts.
  • Use a long-term inbox when you need isolation but ongoing message delivery.

05
Display layer

Refresh, reopen, or report the issue

If the target site confirms that the email was sent and the address is valid, refresh once manually. If the connection dropped, reload the page—but do not clear the browser data that stores your current token.

  • Confirm that your browser is online and is not blocking requests to this site.
  • Take a screenshot showing the send time and the target site's message.
  • If the issue continues, contact support without sharing the verification code.

Compare the symptoms

Narrow down the cause from what you see

“I didn't receive it” can mean different things: an error on submission, a success message with no email, or multiple verification codes.

What you see Check first Next step
Invalid email format Missing characters or spaces Copy the full address again
Email address not supported Third-party domain policy Use a stable long-term address
Sent successfully, but nothing after two minutes Sending queue and network delay Refresh and wait three more minutes
Received multiple verification codes Repeated resend clicks Use the most recent code
It worked before but not now Whether the address expired or changed Submit the new address currently shown

When should you stop troubleshooting?

If a site clearly rejects disposable domains, do not try to bypass its rules by constantly changing addresses. For a long-term account, a trusted email address or persistent inbox is the safer choice.

For payments, identity, work, or account recovery, even a successfully delivered code does not mean a temporary email is suitable for the ongoing relationship. Choose the tool based on future risk, not just whether it receives mail today.
